Death and Dying
Dying: When your hit points drop to 0 or less, you fall unconscious and are dying.Death Saving Throws:
- If you are dying you must make a Death Saving Throw at the beginning of your turn.
- A success Death Saving Throw of 11 on 1d20 will stabilize you to 1 hit point.
- You may aid someone by granting them a bonus on their next Death Saving Throw with a Heal check of your own (+1 bonus is a DC10, +2 bonus is a DC20, etc).
- Failing three Death Saving Throws during the same encounter will result in your death.
Same Encounter Rule:
The three failed rolls do not need to be in succession, just the same encounter. Your body going through that much status shock in such a short amount of time is what results in your death regardless of how much healing or stabilizing you receive. You can be dying, fail your roll, stabilize, dying, fail, be healed by party member, dying, fail, dead.
